More than just a walk. My one-hour Adventure Walks are designed to give dogs time to explore, sniff, investigate and enjoy the outdoors at their own pace. Forest paths, park adventures, enrichment, plenty of individual attention and a little frozen homemade treat to finish.

I welcome a small number of dogs into my home for daycare and overnight stays. I keep numbers very limited because this is my family home, not a boarding facility.
Dogs stay indoors with my family, enjoy sofa cuddles, garden time, walks and the usual comings and goings of family life. I want each stay to feel relaxed, comfortable and as much like home as possible.
I've been surrounded by animals for as long as I can remember.
I grew up in the Wicklow hills, in an old farmhouse on two acres, where there were always dogs and cats around — along with chickens, ducks and, at various times, a rescue pony and even a family of rescue peacocks!
Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I love the idea of dogs being treated as part of the family. These days, I share my home in Douglas with my husband, our two children, our two rescue cats and Méabh, my very friendly cream Golden Retriever.
Méabh is almost one and is incredibly friendly and good-natured. She loves meeting dogs of all shapes, sizes and ages and is always delighted to have a new friend around.
I keep the number of dogs I look after small so that every dog gets plenty of attention, affection and individual care.

A little glimpse of life at Douglas Dog Nanny — from woodland walks and beach adventures to muddy paws, garden time and cosy afternoons at home.

“From the moment Impi began to communicate with me I knew she would be a great dog sitter for Lola. Lola spent a week with Impi and her family and from the daily updates, photos and videos I could clearly see the love, care and attention she gave to Lola. Lola integrated into the family very quickly - as she is used to being around children and other dogs - Impi’s home was the perfect fit for her! When Lola returned home she slept for almost two days non stop - a sign of a good active week! I would recommend Impi and will certainly book Lola to stay with Impi and her family again.”

“Leaving Summer for five days was something I was really nervous about, but from the moment we met, I knew she was in the best hands. She took the time to meet Summer beforehand, understand her routine, and make sure she felt at home. I loved receiving daily photos and updates, and it was so clear how much love and attention Summer was getting. She had lots of exercise, made a best friend, Méabh, and even came home with a new skill—she learned how to pick blackberries! Her children were also wonderful with Summer and treated her like she was part of the family. The biggest compliment I can give is that since bringing Summer home, I can already tell she misses all of them. Thank you for loving and caring for our girl as if she were your own. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend you to anyone looking for an amazing pet sitter. We'll see you soon Obrigada 🥰”

“If it was possible to leave six stars I would. Impi treated my doggies so well. They were so content to stay with her, even though it was their first time. Impi was so thorough and thoughtful and I was happy to be away knowing how well cared for they were. Thanks Impi”

Dogs staying in my home are part of normal family life. They can relax indoors, enjoy the garden, go for walks and have plenty of company throughout the day.
I deliberately keep numbers low so each dog gets the attention and care they need.
I share my family home with my children, Méabh and my two rescue cats. Dogs staying with me become part of everyday family life, with garden time, walks and plenty of company.
Every dog is different. I take the time to get to know each dog’s personality, routine and what makes them comfortable and happy.
I'd love to hear from you. Whether you're looking for a walk, a Sniff Safari, daycare or a home-from-home stay, get in touch and tell me a little about your dog and what you're looking for.
